With the win, the Phillies have evened the series at two games apiece with the fifth affair in Shibe Park.

Dutch Leonard (3-0) is set to start for the Phillies, while Harry Brecheen (3-0) gets the ball for the Cardinals. Both hurlers were starters in the second game of the series, but neither had a decision in the 5-3 contest won by the Cardinals.

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fourth when Del Ennis broke it open with a RBI single St. Louis starter Murry Dickson (3-1). Andy Seminick added a sacrifice fly and it was 2-0.

In the fifth and St. Louis error led to a sacrifice fly by Eddie Miller, which turned out to be the final tally of the contest.

Rowe went the distance for the Phillies with just one strikeout, but he was able to keep the Cardinals off balance allowing only one runner to reach third.
