1959 Strat-O-Matic Tournament

Future Hall of Fame inductees Nellie Fox and Luis Aparicio led the Chicago White Sox to the American League pennant in 1959.

One of the things that Strat-O-Matic does for many who play the board game is that it brings players back to life.

Players can be stars or just rookies with a little time in the big leagues, but anyone can have a great game in a one and done tournament.

It was 60 years ago when the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Chicago White Sox to in the World Series in six games.

The 1959 Tournament presented by Press Room Pass will hopefully bring back memories or educate readers in the last season of a significant decade in baseball history.

Can the Dodgers and White Sox meet for the title in this simulated tourney?

The teams have been seeded by the final standings in each league.

Los Angeles is the top overall seed and the National League champs entertain the Washington Senators, who were eighth in the American League. The White Sox are No. 1 in the AL and they face the No. 8 Philadelphia Phillies in the opener of the tourney.
