1975 Reds Replay: Name the MVP

Thanks to all who have taken the time to read the stories from the 1975 Reds Replay.

It’s now your turn to participate by voting for Cincinnati’s World Series MVP as the Reds topped Boston in five games.

Here are the nominees:

Johnny Bench – Batted .333 with seven hits and seven RBI. He had four doubles and scored twice.

Pedro Borbon – Picked up wins in the opener and game four. Although not in save situations, he closed out the other two Reds victories. He gave up four hits and a run in 4⅔ innings.

Ken Griffey – Won the first game with a three-run homer in the ninth inning. Hit a two-run homer in first inning of third contest. Scored five runs and had three doubles with six RBI.

Don Gullett – Started opener and won game five. Pitched 14⅓ innings giving up three runs on 12 hits with eight strikeouts.
