Johnson was named the American League’s Most Valuable Player as he topped the circuit with a 23-7 record.
The Senators defeated the New York Giants in a seven-game World Series as Johnson won the final contest as Washington posted a 4-3 victory in 12 innings.
Along with Johnson, player-manager Bucky Harris, Goose Goslin and Sam Rice earned a place in Cooperstown.
