MUNCIE, Ind. – A pair of Tri-Eastern Conference runners qualified for the next Saturday’s New Haven Semistate after their performances at the Delta Regional.
Winchester’s Camden Abernathy finished sixth with a time of 16:49.6 to advance for the boys, while on the girls side Union City’s Emma Baron was 28th to move on with a 21:43.4.
Union City’s girls finished eighth. The other runners for the Indians to score were Sophia Spence (33rd, 22:05), Reagan Hoggatt (44th, 22:55), Kora Kerns (53rd, 23:23) and Kahlee Dowler (79th, 25:25).
For the boys, Winchester’s Lee Owens (57th, 18:38) and Union City’s Max Harris (83rd, 19:56) also competed.
Brooke Covert (48th, 23:09) of Winchester was the only other girl to participate.
