CHARLOTTESVILLE, Ind. – The Hagerstown boys basketball team ended its regular season on a winning note on the road Friday night as the Tigers beat Eastern Hancock 64-53.

“We played pretty solid defensively tonight against a very good 3-point shooting team,” Hagerstown Head Coach Bobby Jones said. “This was a great ending to a successful regular season.”

Jared Andis led the Tigers with 35 points as he drilled nine 3-pointers against the Royals (7-15).

“Jared Andis really shot the ball with a lot of confidence tonight,” Jones said.

With the win, the Tigers are 15-8 as they head into the Class 2A sectional on their home court.

“This team is where it’s at because of our four seniors Bret Templin, Nate Combs, Jordan Auker and Mason Stitt,” Jones said. “Good basketball players, but even better role models.”

Stitt finished with nine points, while Isaiah Neal added six points and a team-high five rebounds.

Hagerstown opens the tournament on Tuesday with Lincoln.
