LIBERTY, Ind. – Union County Head Boys Golf Coach Tony Gulley is expecting the Patriots to be in the hunt for the Tri-Eastern Conference as the 2016 season begins.
“I think we could be competitive for the conference, but Hagerstown and Centerville will be very good also,” Gulley said.
Senior Jake Antrim is the top returnee from a team that finished second in the TEC last spring.
Also back are senior Dillon Miller, senior Derrick Frasur, junior Tyler Dunn, junior Owen Miller and junior Trevor Bowling.
“I hope for good things from all of them with it being very competitive for varsity playing time,” Gulley said.
Senior Eric Robinson, junior John Knock and sophomore Dylan Collett are joined on the roster by freshmen Tyler Osborne, Russ Hensley and Blake Williams.
The Patriots face defending TEC champ Centerville at Highland Lake on Wednesday, April 13,
“Team shouldn’t be bad, I know Hagerstown’s going to be good, Centerville’s not going to be bad. We finished second last year in the TEC and then all three of us were right there.”
