CENTERVILLE, Ind. –
Chloe Brown is set to continue her golf career.

The Centerville senior signed with Freed-Hardeman University on Wednesday.

“I’m so excited,” said Brown, who is the daughter of Shannon and Andy Brown.

Freed-Hardeman is located in Henderson, Tenn.

“It’s a Christian-based school,” Brown said. “I’m going to school for accounting.”

Chris Hodges is the Head Coach of Freed-Hardeman, which is a NAIA school.

“It was so beautiful and he is an amazing guy,” Brown said of the campus and her new coach.

Centerville Head Coach Damon Anderson was pleased.

“I’ve had Chloe since seventh grade,” he said. “To see her improve as much as she has in these last six years, she has exceded all of my expectations.”

“It’s really good to see a player going to the next level,” he added.

Brown praised The First Tee Program in Richmond, which was founded in 2008 Bob and Bo Van Pelt.

“There is no way I would be in the situation I’m in now without First Tee,” Brown said.

During her senior year, Brown finished second in sectional to qualify for the regional.

Brown was also second in the Tri-Eastern Conference Meet and medalist at the Wayne County Meet.
