CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Jack Willis knocked in six runs on Thursday as Cenetrville posted a 17-4 win in five innings over Union City.
Poor field conditions in Union City caused by recent rain forced the game to be moved to Centerville with the Indians remaining as the home team.
The Bulldogs scored three runs in the top of the first and then added four more in the second to take command of the Tri-Eastern Conference affair.
Willis had two hits for Centerville as did teammates Matt Stamper, Nolan Witte and Ricky Torres. Stamper finished with three RBI.
Dalton Stevens and Devin Christian both had one hit for the Bulldogs.
For Union City, Aaron Foster led the way with three hits and Zach Bradbury added two hits.
Witte worked all five frames on the mound for Centerville to pick up the win. He had six strikeouts.
Trevor Spence started for the Indians and got the loss.
Cenertville is 5-5 overall and 2-1 in the TEC. The Bulldogs welcome Winchester for a twinbill on Saturday.
The Indians (5-4, 1-3) host the Dylan Williams Memorial Wood Bat Invitational on Saturday.
