CENTERVILLE, Ind. – The Centerville boys basketball team picked up its first Tri-Eastern Conference win of the season on Friday night as the Bulldogs defeated Tri 53-47.
“Good wins for both the JV and varsity tonight,” Centerville Head Coach Seve Beach said. “We executed much better down the stretch of the fourth quarter and hit seven big free throws to help get the win.”
The game was tied 7-7 at the first stop before the Bulldogs held a 20-18 edge at the intermission and they led 34-29 after three periods.
Michael Brewer led the Bulldogs with 16 points as he hit four 3-pointers. Justin DuPree added nine points.
Kaleb Harrison led the Titans with 14 points, while Carson Cox tossed in 13 points.
Centerville won the JV affair 43-37.
Tri (5-14, 1-5) entertains Randolph Southern on Saturday, while Centerville (5-13, 1-5) returns to the court at home on Tuesday against Wapahani.
