HAGERSTOWN, Ind. – The Centerville girls tennis team won a tight 3-2 contest over Hagerstown on Tuesday night.
The Tigers won in the top spot of singles and doubles, but the Bulldogs took the other three positions as they won the Tri-Eastern Conference match.
Centerville’s Shelby Good beat Kayla McFarland 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2.
At No. 3 singles, Chloe Uphaus won 6-0, 6-1 over Jacqueline Habzansky.
Addie Walther and Morgan Guenther posted a 6-0, 6-3 win over Abby Shepherd and Kayla Vinson at No. 2 doubles.
Hagerstown’s Savannah Houck defeated Abby Stewart 6-1, 6-4 at No. 2 singles, while McKenzie Fleming and Mekayla Todd outlasted Kelly Wolf and Robyn Raatz 6-7 (5), 7-5, 6-2 in the top doubles spot.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday with a conference match at Tri.
The Tigers entertain Seton on Thursday.
