UNION CITY, Ind. – Centerville’s boys tennis team won 5-0 over Union City in a Tri-Eastern Conference match on Thursday.
Nolan Witte defeated Trevor Spence 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. At No. 2, Skyler Benedict beat Zach Bradbury 6-1, 6-0. In the third spot, Nate Reed won 6-1, 6-0 over Elijah Thornburg.
In doubles, Blake Shook and Josh Duke won 6-0, 6-0 over Jacob Bradbury and Gabe Loesch in the top position. At No. 2, Nathan Cheek and Bennett Walther got past Chase Jefferis and Tanner Spence 6-2, 6-3.
Zach Montour and Kobe Brown won their junior varsity doubles match for the Bulldogs.
Centerville (4-1, 1-0) entertains Connersville on Tuesday. Union City (4-1, 0-1) travels to Blue River on Wednesday.
