CENTERVILLE, Ind. – The Centerville girls tennis team won its season opener on Tuesday as the Bulldogs swept Franklin County 5-0.
Abby Stewart defeated Audrey Brack 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles.
At No. 2, Shelby Good won 6-1, 6-0 over Megan Routh.
In the third position, Chloe Uphaus took care of Ashley Monroe 6-0, 6-1.
Centerville’s top doubles team of Addie Walther and Kelly Wolf dominated Kelsey Ball and Tori Volkswagen in a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
Robyn Raatz and Miranda Sams handled the challenge at No. 2 doubles from Inga VanMeter and Lauren Klein 7-5, 6-1.
Centerville’s JV won 3-2.
The Bulldogs (1-0) are back in action on at home against Knightstown on Thursday, April 14.
