CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Centerville football player Myles Cunningham is on the road to Indianapolis.
The Bulldog senior signed a NCAA National Letter of Intent this week to attend the University of Indianapolis to play for the Greyhounds.
“It was really important to me to continue into college and play football and also further my education,” said Cunningham, who is son of Marc and Missy Cunningham. “I’m blessed to be able to do this.”
Centerville football coach Kyle Padgett was excited to have a player headed to the Division II school.
“I think it’s just great seeing all of the hard work that Myles put in,” Padgett said. “The way he went through the process and to be rewarded with a great school like U of Indy. It’s incredible and I’m very proud of him.”
A member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference, the Greyhounds were 6-5 last fall.
“I know he’s going to put in the work to succeed there,” Padgett said. “It’s also a great school, so he’s going to play football and get a great education. There’s nothing better than that.”
Cunningham was grateful for the opportunity to continue his career, while studying business management.
“I had an amazing coach this year to push me and the team to do better,” he said. “It’s a great place. I love the school and the love the facilities.”
“It was just a great fit for me,” Cunningham added. “I want to thank my family teammates and coaches for pushing me and getting me to this step.”
