WINCHESTER, Ind. – The Winchester boys basketball team celebrated Senior Night with an 89-51 victory over Randolph Southern on Thursday.
“Kids had a lot of positive of energy tonight,” Winchester Head Caoch Matt Fine said of his team’s effort during the regular season finale for the Falcons. “We played well from start to finish.”
Winchester got off to a 25-13 lead after the first period before building a 51-24 advantage by the intermission. By the end of third frame, Winchester had doubled the Rebels 70-35.
“We needed this game to help us get back on track after a bad last week,” Fine said.
The Falcons had four players in double figures with Kiante Enis topping the list with 33 points against the Rebels (1-20).
Austin Lawrence and Arick Miller tossed in 11 points each, while Trestan Enis finished with 10 points. Michael Georgi contributed nine points.
Winchester (14-8) faces Class 2A No. 2 Northeastern (18-4) in Tuesday’s second contest of the sectional at Hagerstown.
