PARKER CITY, Ind. – The Winchester boys basketball team won its seventh straight game on Thursday as the Falcons beat Monroe Central 71-55.
“We did a great job on the glass which allowed us to get out in transition,” Winchester Head Coach Matt Fine said. “We made great decisions and got easy scores.”
The Falcons held the rebounding edge 39-32.
“For the most part, we were really good defensively,” Fine said. “(It was a) great week for us to go on the road and get two wins back-to-back.”
Winchester defeated Tri-Eastern Conference rival Centerville 53-50 on Wednesday night.
Against the Golden Bears (8-11), Kiante Enis led Winchester with 17 points to go with a pair of steals.
There were three others in double figures for Winchester with Austin Lawrence next on the list with 14 points and eight rebounds.
Arick Miller, who also had eight rebounds, scored 13 points, while Cullen Hall added 11 points. Elias Gates tossed in nine points as he pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds.
Winchester (12-5) travels to Lincoln for a TEC affair next Friday, Feb. 12.
