FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind. – Northeastern Head Girls Tennis Coach Kate Wogoman enters the 2016 season with several returning players and a lot of new faces as well.
“Our expectations are that the girls continue to become better tennis players,” Wogoman said. “It is hoped that they will learn to love the game.”
Senior doubles teammates Adriane Ullery and Ashley Jay are back along with senior Autumn Lawhorn, sophomore Emily Fouche, juniors Chelsea Parker, Katie Bond, Nicole Schroeder and Savannah McCracken.
Newcomers to the team include Kasey Andrews, Hayley Berner, Jalyn McDaniel, Drew Noland, Olivia Harris, Savanah Lester, Kaitlyn Clements, Maddy Short, Dayna Newman, and Jasmine Thorne.
“We have a nice team atmosphere and it’s been a pleasure spending time with all involved,” Wogoman said. “We’re excited to get the season started and can’t wait to see how we match up with other teams in our area.”
The Knights open the season on the road against Tri-Eastern Conference foe Lincoln on Monday, April 11.
