CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind. – The Lincoln girls tennis team picked up another 5-0 victory this week with a win over Connersville on Wednesday.
Although the Golden Eagles swept the singles action, the scores were much closer than their doubles wins.
In singles play, Jamie Buhl defeated Shelby Brown 7-5, 6-2 at No. 1.
Rachel Merida won 6-2, 6-3 over Taylor Steele at No. 2.
At No. 3, Ali Reese posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Alexis Johnson.
Kylei Klein and Lydia Bertsch blanked Faith Kaler and Amanda Simpkins 6-0, 6-0.
In the second position, Kami Laymon and Leslie Richardson beat Savannah Drew and Kylie Jones 6-1, 6-0.
Lincoln also won the JV match 5-0.
The Golden Eagles are 4-1 as they head into Monday’s home contest against Franklin County.
