RUSHVILLE, Ind. – The Lincoln softball team opened the season on Thursday with a 10-0 victory in five innings at Rushville.
Laynie Russell held the Lions hitless for the first three innings, while Hannah Hall tossed the final two frames.
The Golden Eagles scored four runs in the first inning and never looked back as they were ahead 10-0 after three.
Emmie Pugh, Alyssa Messer, Kaleigh Lamb and Jaela Patton had two hits each for Lincoln.
