UNION CITY, Ind. – The Lincoln boys tennis team posted a 4-1 win over Union City on Thursday.
The Golden Eagles swept the singles action in the Tri-Eastern Conference contest. Seth Martin defeated Trevor Spence 7-5, 6-3 at No. 1. In the second position, Seth Morris beat Zach Bradbury 6-3, 6-2. At No. 3, Austin Lanich won 6-0, 6-0 over Elijah Thornburg.
In doubles, Nate Gulde and Jeb Reece beat Gabe Loesch and Jacob Bradbury 6-4, 6-0 at No. 1.
Union City’s win was by Jacob Fulk and Chase Jefferis as they defeated Mark Cox and Mathew Berry 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.
Lincoln won the JV match 2-0. Carter Mettler and Erich Vernon defeated John Carpenter and Tanner Spence 7-6 (8-6). Michael Dalrymple and Eric Castor beat Carpenter and Spence 7-5.
The Golden Eagles (12-3, 5-2) host the TEC Tournament on Saturday and Monday.
