CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind. – The Lincoln boys tennis team won all of the singles matches on Thursday as the Golden Eagles beat Hagerstown 3-2 in a Tri-Eastern Conference match.
In singles, Seth Martin defeated Isaiah Neal 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1. Seth Morris beat Trey Kelley 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2. In the third spot, Austin Lanich won 6-1, 6-0 over Derek Davis.
Hagerstown won both doubles matches. At No. 1, Evan Hoover and Noah Dale defeated Nate Gulde and Jeb Reece 6-4, 6-4. In the second position, Caleb Neal and Luke Girdley won over Mathew Berry and Mark Cox 6-2, 6-1.
Lincoln won the JV contest 3-1. Jackson Reed defeated Mason Pruitt 6-3 in singles. In doubles, Carter Mettler and Erich Vernon defeated P.J. McFarland and Jacob Henley 6-4, while Eric Castor and Michael Dalrymple beat Eli Richards and Nick Habanzsky 6-3.
Alec Shilling won Hagerstown’s singles match with a 6-2 win over Dalrymple.
Hagerstown is at Union County on Friday.
