WINCHESTER, Ind. – Winchester’s track teams split a pair of contests on Thursday as the boys defeated South Adams 71-42, while the girls fell 93-30.
The boys were led by Cam Abernathy, who was first in 3,200-meter run and 3,200 relay and second in the 1,600.
Jamison Parker, Richard Brier and Trenton Sanders were also on the 3,200 relay squad.
Kaleb Brown, Alex Franklin, Dawson Ridge and Sanders won for Winchester in the 1,600 relay.
Sanders also won the 800, while Brown was first in the 100.
Cole Campbell placed first in 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles.
Josh Estep was second in 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles, while Kainin Ziegler was third in 110 hurdles. Brier was second in the 400. Dylan Davis placed second in the 100 and 200 and Franklin finished third in the 100 and 200.
On the girls side, Sydney Conn, Sydney Myers, Jade Myers and Aaliyah Beatty won the 400-meter relay.
Conn was second in the 100 and 300 hurdles with Myers taking second in the high jump. Myers was second in the 100 and Beatty placed third in the long jump.
Ella Baldwin finished in second in the 1,600 and 800. Paige Weatherhead was second in the 400 meter dash and Whitney Jester was third in the 400. Maysa Corya was third in the 3,200-meter run and Danielle Ruhr was third in the shot put.
The Golden Falcons compete at Ball State on Tuesday against Muncie Burris.
