WINCHESTER, Ind. – The Winchester girls basketball team remained unbeaten on Saturday as the Golden Falcons beat Jay County 59-55.
The Golden Falcons are now 6-0 overall heading into Wednesday’s Tri-Eastern Conference showdown with Hagerstown (4-1).
Both teams are 2-0 at the top of the conference as they are set to meet at the Winchester Fieldhouse.
On Saturday, Becca Chamberlin led the Golden Falcons with a career-high 21 points as she connected on four 3-pointers.
Maddie Lawrence finished with 18 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and three steals.
Shelby Miller added 10 points to go with eight rebounds. Hannah Graft tossed in eight points. Kira Robinson ended with a team-high nine rebounds.
Winchester led 18-10 after the first period, but the Patriots rallied to lead 29-28 by halftime. The Golden Falcons bounced back to take a 46-42 lead after three quarters.
