WINCHESTER, Ind. – The Winchester girls basketball team remained unbeaten in the Tri-Eastern Conference on Saturday as the Golden Falcons defeated Union County 63-23.
Union County led 10-9 after the first quarter before Winchester took off and built a 31-14 advantage by halftime.
Maddie Lawrence led the Golden Falcons with 18 points to go with eight rebounds, five assists and three blocks.
Kira Robinson finished with 13 points and five rebounds.
Hannah Graft, Shelby Miller and Sarah Graft all had eight points. Miller had 12 rebounds.
Madison Gray led the Patriots with 11 points, while she added four rebounds, three steals and a pair of blocks.
Taylor Pinkerton had four points and seven rebounds. Fayth Hill finished with four points.
Winchester won the JV contest 29-27 as Cami Miller and Brooklynn Hummel both had eight points.
Zoe Murphy led the Patriots with nine points.
Both teams return to action on Wednesday.
The Golden Falcons (12-1, 6-0) entertain Wapahani (7-3), the Patriots (5-7, 3-2) travel to Lawrenceburg (11-1).
