WINCHESTER, Ind. – The Winchester girls basketball team won its third game in a row on Wednesday as the Golden Falcons defeated Elwood 79-36.
Winchester began the contest with a 17-2 lead after one quarter before building a 35-6 advantage by halftime. The Golden Falcons were on top 56-23 heading into the final stanza.
Shelby Miller was one of five players in double figures as she led Winchester with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
Maddie Lawrence finished with 18 points, 11 assists and five rebounds.
Kira Robinson tossed in 14 points, while grabbing eight rebounds and blocking four shots.
Hannah Graft added 11 points and Becca Chamberlin had 10 points.
The Golden Falcons (3-0) travel to Knightstown for a Tri-Eastern Conference affair.
