Hagerstown’s Kaleb Slagle
ANDERSON, Ind. – Members of the Hagerstown boys and girls varsity track squads competed at the Patriot Invitational at Anderson University on Saturday, March 10.
Several boys placed in the top eight among the 22 team field, which featured schools from Class 1A to 6A in size.
Three of the boys relays, 4 x 400, 4 x 800, and DMR each positioned themselves well to qualify for the state indoor meet at Indiana Umiversity in Bloomington on March 24.
The boys finished 12th as team with 17 points, which was tops among small schools.

The girls’ top finish was the 4 x 800 team of Anna Shafer, Baylee Foor, Ella Nicholson, and Logan McRoberts who placed 11th in 11:34.38.
Tigers Open at Ball State
The Tigers opened their indoor season at the 15-team Owl Invitational hosted by Muncie Burris at Ball State University on Saturday, March 3.
Hagerstown won four events as the Tigers placed significant numbers of both boys and girls in top-eight positions.
Ryan Golliher and Laney Adams each won the shot put.
The boys 4 x 800 team of Adam Nadler, Alexander McKee, Seth Richards, and Kaleb Slagle, while the 4 x 400 team of Holden Robinson, Seth Richards, Alexander McKee, and Dylan Napier also finished first.
