RICHMOND, Ind. – Hagerstown’s cross country teams competed in the Richmond Invitational at IU East on Saturday.
“Overall, it was a good first race for the 2017 season,” Hagerstown Head Coach Kent Gray said. “The Tigers performed very well with a total of six personal bests recorded.”
Kaleb Slagle finished fourth in 17:02 and Logan Tuttle sixth in 17:21 to lead the boys squad to a fourth-place finish.
The rest of the top five for Hagerstown included Eli Halcomb 27th in 18:23, a personal best, Dylan Napier 31st in 18:37, and Holden Robinson 33rd in 18:59.
Top five team scores were Southport 40, Lawrence Central 52, East Central 81, Hagerstown 101 and Marion 164.
Anna Shafer and Logan McRoberts were the top finishers for the girls at 18th and 22nd.
The rest of the top five included Kyley Farmer 34th, Maci Matanich 35th, and Madison Zetzl 40th.
Hagerstown was sixth in the field with Southport, East Central, and Lawrence Central taking the top three spots.
