HAGERSTOWN, Ind. – A big second period was the difference on Friday night as the Hagerstown girls basketball team beat Seton 60-31 for their fifth win in a row, after a 1-6 start.
“I saw them coming together and now we ripped off five in a row,” Oliger said. “We’re headed in the right direction.”
The Tigers led 14-10 after the opening stanza, but by the intermission the lead grew to 34-11 as they scored 19 unanswered points.
“We played well,” Hagerstown Head Coach Chris Oliger said. “We executed well offensively. I was pleased with the performance. I thought we did a nice job.”
However, it was the defense that turned the tide for the Tigers.
“We talked about what we were doing wrong in the first quarter defensively,” Oliger said. “We changed that around.”
Kassidy Oliger led the Tigers with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Brytni Dale finished with 17 points and nine rebounds. Madison Brown tossed in 12 points.
Hagerstown (6-6) travels to the Brown County Tournament on Thursday, Dec. 29. The Tigers open the event against the host school.
