HAGERSTOWN, Ind. – The Hagerstown boys golf team won its second straight Tri-Eastern Conference match on Wednesday with a 162-194 win over Tri.
Ben Tinkle carded a 37 to lead the Tigers at Hartley Hills. Jonathan Clark was next with a 39.
“We got strong play from both our seniors tonight,” Hagerstown Head Coach Bill Mullin said. “Ben was 2-under early in the match and Jonathan only had 11 putts in nine holes tonight.”
The other scores for the Tigers were Caleb Cochran 41, Kevin Beeson 45 and Kyle Cochran 47.
“Caleb Cochran has been steady in the early going for us,” Mullin said.
Corbin Pew led the Titans with a 41.
Also scoring for Tri were Konnor Fabrice 45, Dakota Bell 54, Travis Isaacs 54 and Gunnar Doerflein 69.
Hagerstown is now 2-0 in TEC as the Tigers prepare for a tournament this weekend.
“We’ve got an excellent opportunity this Saturday in the Noblesville Invitational to play against the No. 1 team in the state in Westfield,” Mullin said.
Hagerstown also won the JV contest. The scores for the Tigers were Luke Lannan 49, Nate Burns 51, Luke Girdley 51, Christian James 54, Austin Herr 54 and Alec Shilling 57.
