UNION CITY, Ind. – The Union City boys basketball team took control early on Tuesday night as the Indians beat Blue River 77-53.
“We had a really good start,” Union City Head Coach Dustin Baldwin said.
The Indians led 23-14 after one period and they were on top 43-28 by halftime.
“We came out firing and put together four quarters,” Baldwin said of his team’s season high 77 points.
The Indians hit 26-of-46 from the field for 57 percent and they made 8-of-17 from behind the 3-point line.
Tyler Thornhill led Union City with 25 points against the Vikings (6-13).
Isaac Davison tossed in 18 points, while grabbing 10 rebounds and handing out seven assists.
Isaac Jefferis finished with 15 points as he hit four 3-pointers.
Union City (8-9) entertains Daleville (6-12) on Friday night.
