FLORA, Ind. – The Union City baseball team fell 11-1 to No. 6 Daleville on Saturday in the Class 1A regional championship game at Carroll (Flora).
Jacob Fulk led Union City with two hits.
Nic Wells, Dawson Thornburg and Cameron Luster also had hits.
The Indians defeated Covington 2-1 in the semifinal round earlier in the day to reach the finale.
Wells drove in both of the runs for the Indians with a single in the third inning.
Trevor Spence tossed a complete game for Union City as he scattered eight hits and struck out seven.
Jacob Curry led the Indians with two hits, while Spence, Kyler Purdin and Zach Bradbury added hits.
The Indians finish the season at 15-8.
