Indians Fall in Triple Overtime

UNION CITY, Ind. – The Union City boys basketball team fell 72-64 in triple overtime on Tuesday night to Cowan.

Trevor Spence led the Indians with 23 points as he grabbed six rebounds.

Trevor Thompson recorded a double-double with 17 points and 17 rebounds.

Gabe Loesch added seven points.

Cameron Luster and Bryten Stewart tossed in six points apiece.

Zerrin Cantu finished with five points.

Union City has now split a pair of overtime games this season. The Indians beat crosstown rival Mississinawa Valley 48-45 back in December.

The last time the Indians played three extra sessions was in a 64-62 victory at home over Adams Central on Dec. 7, 2004.

The Indians (4-14) entertain Daleville (11-6) on Friday.
