UNION CITY, Ind. – The Union City girls basketball team dropped a 68-38 decision to Class 2A No. 5 Monroe Central on Wednesday.
Ellie Kerns led all scorers with 22 points to go with a team-high seven rebounds.
Maddy Cox finished with six points and five rebounds. Justiss Cantu added six points.
Jodi Carpenter led Union City in the JV contest with 11 points as the Indians fell 56-30.
Reagan Hoggatt added eight points and six rebounds.
Union City (2-6, 0-2) travels to Knightstown (2-5, 0-2) for a Tri-Eastern Conference contest on Saturday.
