UNION CITY, Ohio – Union City battled crosstown rival Mississinawa Valley for nine innings on Monday, but neither team would earn the victory as it ended 6-6.
The Indians led until the bottom of the seventh when the Blackhawks were able to tie the game that would go two more frames before being called due to darkness.
Jacob Curry and Nic Wells led the Indians with two hits each. Zach Bradbury and Jacob Fulk both had a hit.
Fulk left the mound with one out in the fourth after giving up four hits with nine strikeouts.
Trevor Spence went the rest of the way and surrendered four hits with five strikeouts.
Union City entertains Tri High on Thursday night in a Tri-Eastern Conference contest.
