PONETO, Ind. – Union City’s girls basketball team started its season on Saturday with a 45-36 win at Southern Wells.
Courtney Wise led the Indians with 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Baylee Hartman added 11 rebounds and six blocks.
Kora Kerns finished with four steals.
The Indians (1-0) entertain Seton on Friday. The Union City JV will face Morristown that same night.
