CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind. – Northeastern scored once in each quarter Friday night as the Knights defeated Lincoln 26-0 in a Tri-Eastern Conference football contest.
Cole Retter scored twice in the first half as the Knights built a 14-0 advantage. Retter had a 3-yard run in the first period and a 1-yard score in the second.
Griffin Bry opened the second half with an 80-yard kickoff return for a score to put the Knights ahead 20-0.
The final score for Northeastern came when David Berger recovered a blocked punt in the end zone.
The Knights (4-4, 3-3) entertain Union City (3-5, 2-4) next Friday, while the Golden Eagles (1-7, 1-5) finish the regular season at home against Hagerstown (7-1, 6-0).
