With a 76-72 loss last Saturday to Seton, the Northeastern boys basketball team fell from the top spot in the lastest Associated Press poll that was released on Monday.
The Knights (4-1) are now No. 3 in Class 2A, while Barr-Reeve (6-0) takes over the No. 1 ranking. Lapel (6-1) is second.
Northeastern is idle this week and the Knights get back on the court as they host an eight-team tournament on Dec. 28-29.
The Knights are scheduled to open the event against New Washington (4-2). The Mustangs won a pair of games last weekend over Rising Sun (65-54) and at Crothersville (62-47).
Seton (8-0) moved up two spots in the Class 1A poll to No. 4.
