MT. SUMMIT, Ind. – The Northeastern girls basketball team fell 49-43 in overtime at Blue River on Thursday.
The Knights trailed 12-8 after the first quarter and 26-22 at halftime before they rebounded to lead 37-30 by the end of the third period.
The Vikings tied the contest at 41-41 to send it to an extra session.
Olivia Harris and Jenna McFarland led the Knights with 10 points apiece.
Madi Clay and Emma Wright both finished with eight points, while Kasey Andrews had five points.
Northeastern won the JV affair 39-29 as Willow Runyon scored 15 points to lead the Knights.
McKenzie Chasteen had 10 points and Aunika Railsback added nine points.
The Knights (8-9, 2-2) travel to Tri-Eastern Conference foe Knightstown (3-14, 0-5) on Saturday.
