FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind. – The Northeastern boys basketball team had a pair of players in double figures on Friday as the Knights beat Rushville 45-38.
Freeman Brou led the Knights with 15 points and eight rebounds.
Jalen Hillard added 12 points and three assists, while Carter Lumpkin tossed in six points with three assists.
The Knights led 16-12 after one quarter before they increased their margin to 24-14 by halftime.
The Lions closed the gap to 36-31 by the end of the third, but the Knights were able to hang on for their second straight win.
Northeastern won the JV contest 48-41 as Quantrell Gammon led the way with 17 points. Nate Irwin added 10 points.
The Knights (10-5, 2-0) entertain Tri-Eastern Conference foe Lincoln (6-7, 1-1) next Friday.
