LEWISVILLE, Ind. – The Northeastern boys tennis team picked a 3-2 victory at Tri on Monday night.
The Knights swept the singles competion as the Titans took both doubles affairs of the Tri-Eastern Conference match.
Elijah Kenworthy defeated Clayton Becker 7-5, 7-5 at No. 1 singles. At No. 2, Nate Irwin outlasted Kyle Falck 7-6 (7-5), 6-7 (3-7), 6-1. In the third spot, Zach Gulley beat Trai Ervine 6-1, 6-1.
At No. 1 doubles, Tri’s Mason Rottinghaus and Jimmy Jeffries won 6-1, 6-0 over Hunter Delk and Michael White. In the second position, Jarod Stevens and Isaiah Steele defeated Peyton Cohee and Zack Jaykoski 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (7-4).
Both teams are back on the court on Tuesday as the Knights visit Winchester and Tri is at Eastern Hancock.
