UNION CITY, Ind. – The Northeastern girls basketball team had four players in double figures on Friday as the Knights defeated Union City 55-28.
Kasey Andrews led the Knights with 12 points in the Tri-Eastern Conference contest. Olivia Harris, Alizah Rankin and Jenna McFarland all finished with 10 points.
Madi Clay added six points and Emma Wright had five.
For the Indians, Maddy Cox led the way with eight points and nine rebounds.
Mackenzie Green tossed in six points and Justiss Cantu added five. Ellie Kerns had five steals.
Union City won the JV game 46-34 to go to 3-0 on the season.
Jodi Carpenter led the Indians with 18 points and five steals. Mackenzie Charles had 13 points and Emalee Bocanegra added six points and seven rebounds. Reagan Hoggatt had eight rebounds.
Aunika Railsback led the Knights with 11 points. Willow Runyon, Kelsey Cottongim and Jamie Andrews all had six points. McKenzie Chasteen added five points for the Knights (2-3)
Union City (2-2, 0-1) returns to action Saturday at South Adams (1-1).
Next up for the Knights (2-3, 1-1) is a visit to Monroe Central (2-0) on Tuesday.
