MUNCIE, Ind. – The Northeastern softball team earned its first victory of the season on Tuesday as the Knights defeated Delta 5-2.
Katie Schneider led the Knights on the mound and at the plate. She had 13 strikeouts as she earned the victory, while pounding out three hits.
Mikayla Hornung and Sierra Gilmore both had two hits.
Leah Hoskins, Katlyn Williams, Lena Smith, and Morgan Benjamin all had hits.
The Knights (1-2) face Centerville in a Tri-Eastern Conference contest at home on Thursday.
