OXFORD, Ohio – The Northeastern baseball team won a tight contest on the road on Saturday as the Knights defeated Talawanda 2-1.
All of the runs were scored in the fifth inning as Tanner Wilson picked up the victory on the mound to improve to 2-0 this season.
Entering the contest with one out in the fifth inning, Connor Bray closed out the game earning his second save of the season.
Offensively for the Knights, Mason Fisher, Austin Kenworthy, and Garrett Dill had one hit each.
Northeastern (7-3) travels to Hagerstown for a Tri-Eastern Conference affair on Tuesday.
