PORTLAND, Ind. – The Northeastern girls softball finished the regular season on Thursday with a 13-2 win at Jay County.
Sierra Gilmore hit a pair homers giving her 14 for the season. She also had three RBI.
Lena Smith knocked in four runs, while Mikayla Hornung drove in three.
Katie Schneider struck out 11 to earn the victory on the mound.
Northeastern (18-5), ranked No. 4 in Class 2A, opens the Union County Sectional against the second-ranked Patriots on Monday at 5 p.m.
