WINCHESTER, Ind. – Northeastern broke open a scoreless Tri-Eastern Conference game on Wednesday with three runs in the fifth inning and went on to a 9-0 win over Winchester.
Bailey Stewart had a pair of doubles and knocked in two runs for the Knights.
Mason Fisher also had two hits with three RBI. Connor Bray and Austin Kenworthy both had run-scoring doubles.
Stewart worked six innings on the mound to raise his record 3-1. He gave up four hits and had seven strikeouts.
Joe Webb pitched into the sixth inning for the Falcons and fanned eight.
Both teams return to action on Thursday as Northeastern (9-6, 3-2) faces Union City at home and the Falcons (2-14, 1-5) entertain Muncie Burris.
