BERNE, Ind. – The Winchester girls basketball team got back on track Tuesday night as the Golden Falcons defeated South Adams 58-52.
The seventh-ranked Golden Falcons fell behind 18-9 after the first quarter before they closed the gap to 24-22 by halftime.
By the end of the third, Winchester was on top 38-36 on its way to the win.
Maddie Lawrence led Winchester with 24 points, while Hannah Graft finished with 13 points.
Becca Chamberlin tossed in seven points, while Shelby Miller and Kira Robinson added six points apiece. Miller also had a team-high 10 rebounds.
Winchester (9-1, 3-0) travels to Lincoln (3-4, 1-1) for a Tri-Eastern Conference affair on Saturday.
