Lincoln Boys Track Wins; Girls Second

LincolnSELMA, Ind. – The Lincoln track teams competed against Wapahani and Union on Tuesday as the boys took first in the meet, while the girls were second.

Lincoln boys won with 73 points over the host Raiders who had 70 as Union finished with 15. Wapahani won the girls event with 78 points, while Lincoln was next with 41 and Union had 15.

For the boys, Ben Bertsch won the 100 and 200.

The Golden Eagles 1,600-meter relay team of Austin Wampler, Hunter Ferris, Chase Sutherland and Bertsch also won.

Bryant Hilbert won in the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles. Ferris won the long jump, while Carter Mettler was first shot put.

The Lincoln girls had a pair of double winners.

Ryanne Davis picked up wins in the high jump and long jump, while Allie Owens won the 1,600 and the 3,200.

Heidi Gabbard had a first place toss in the discus.
