CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Lincoln and Centerville spilt track meets on Tuesday as the Golden Eagles won the boys event 69-54, while the Bulldogs claimed the girls affair 98-21.
Ben Bertsch won three events for Lincoln taking the 100 (11.7), 200 (24.69) and the long jump (18’2 1/2″).
James Pugh was first in a pair of races winning the 800 (2:22) and 1,600 (5:06).
The individual other winners for the Lincoln boys were Bryant Hilbert in the 110 hurdles (16.3), Chase Southerland in the 400 (58.69), Austin Wampler in the 3,200 (10:57) and Cody Hill in the high jump (6’0″).
Centerville’s individual winners were Seth Woolwine in the shot put (41’9″) and the discus (128’7 1/2″) and Nico Wankerl in the 300 hurdles (45.81).
Lincoln won two of the three relays. In the 1,600, the team of Southerland, Jeremiah Holder, Hunter Ferris, Bertsch won in 3:56. Wampler, Britten West, Jimmy Huntsman, Southerland won the 3,200 in 9:47.
The Bulldogs won the 400 relay with Reese VanDevender, Alfredo Calderon, Dylan Benedict and David Burke in 48.22.
Toschlog Wins Three as Individual
Ashley Toschlog won three events to pace the Centerville girls as she was first in the 800 (2:44), 1,600 (5:42) and 3,200 (11:33).
The other winners for the Bulldogs were Aubrey Davis in the 100 hurdles (17.77), Sophia Neher in the 100 (13.75), Madilyne Coomes in the 400 (1:16), Jolie Rusznak in the 300 hurdles (57.82), Maddie Riggott in the 200 (28.69) and Emily Willis in the discus (92’9 1/2″).
The Bulldogs swept the relays. They started with a win by Toschlog, Kayla Newman, Coomes and Merissa Ross in the 3,200 (12:43).
Riggott, Davis, Rusznak and Neher won the 400 (55.59), while Riggott, Madeline Steinfort, Rusznak and Ross ended meet in the 1,600 (5:54).
For Lincoln, Ryanne Davis won the high jump (4’10”) and long jump (14’4″), while Sammy Burrows took the shot put (29’3″).
