CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind. – Lincoln’s girls basketball team stopped a two-game losing streak in a big way on Saturday as the Golden Eagles defeated National Trail 55-31,
“We played a very good first half both offensively and defensively,” Lincoln Head Coach Rob Bills said. “I was worried we would be flat after two back-to-back losses to Hagerstown, but we came and got out to a 21-3 lead at the end of the first quarter.
By halftime, Lincoln was in front 41-11.
“We shot it well and we passed very well,” Bills said. “We have a very unselfish group of kids.”
Kylei Klein led the Golden Eagles with 18 points as she finished with six rebounds against the Blazers (5-10).
“Klein had a great offensive game,” Bills said.
Kerrigan Neff tossed in 12 points to go with five rebounds. Emmie Pugh added 11 points, while Olivia Davis grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
Lincoln (8-10) entertains Knightstown on Tuesday.
