FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind. – The Lincoln boys tennis team picked up a 5-0 victory over Northeastern in a Tri-Eastern Conference match on Wednesday.
In singles play, Seth Martin defeated Nate Irwin 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1. In the second position, Seth Morris beat Elijah Kenworthy 6-1, 6-0. At No. 3, Austin Lanich won 6-0, 6-0 over Michael White.
Jeb Reece and Nate Gulde beat Hunter Delk and Zach Gulley 6-2, 6-3 in the top doubles spot. At No. 2, Mathew Berry and Mark Cox defeated Peyton Cohee and Zack Jaykoski 6-0, 6-0.
Northeastern won the JV contest 2-1.
The Knights won both doubles matches as Tony Boyatt and Mike Thompson defeated Erich Vernon and Carter Mettler 6-3, while Boyatt and Thompson then beat Eric Castor and Jackson Reed 6-1.
Lincoln’s win was in singles as Michael Dalrymple won 6-0, 6-0 over Max Napier.
Both teams are back in action with TEC affairs on Thursday. The Golden Eagles (9-2, 2-1) entertain Hagerstown, while Northeastern gets a visit from Union City.
